Ang (Angelo) Pompano retired from teaching hormone propelled middle school students with heart rates regulated by their iPods to write his Quincy Lazzaro mystery series. Kayaking sleuth, Quincy Lazzaro makes his debut in “The Copy Cat Didn’t Have Nine Lives” published in STILL WATERS: CRIME STORIES BY NEW ENGLAND WRITERS.

Look for a new Quincy Lazzaro story, "Promises to Keep," in Level Best Books' DEADFALL, their sixth anthology of crime fiction.

Ang’s just-completed Quincy Lazzaro novel, KILLER VIEW, (then called WITHOUT A PADDLE) won the 2006 Helen McCloy/Mystery Writers of America Scholarship. A second Quincy novel, DIEBACK, is in progress.

A recent contributor to the New England Sisters in Crime Newsletter, Ang has written many academic pieces published by the Yale-New Haven Teacher’s Institute, including one on teaching detective fiction.
